  • Calf raises: It targets the major muscle behind each ankle—the soleus muscle on top of the foot near where it meets the Achilles tendon.

Exercise bikes

Exercise bikes are excellent gym equipment to lift the heart rate, burn calories and tone muscles. There are some features that you should consider when looking for an exercise bike like:

  • Resistance settings- Look for an adjustable resistance feature to control how hard or easy it is to pedal during the workout by setting the tension level (such as light or heavy).
  • Adjustable saddle height- If one is shorter than average or taller than average, having an adjustable seat will help ensure one has their foot flat on the floor while pedalling. It helps with balance and better grip.
  • Console display- This lets one track how many calories they burn during each session along with other metrics like time elapsed, distance travelled, speed reached, RPMs (revolutions per minute,) and heart rate information such as beats per minute(bpm)
